Help increase the number of ladybirds in your garden by providing adequate roosting spots with the Just Ladybird House. The sloping front of the house is specially designed to encourage ladybird adults to enter and may also attract other beneficial insects like lacewings, both useful predators of greenfly and blackfly. The house provides a winter shelter for ladybird adults and can provide a daytime shelter for lacewing adults in the spring and summer.
Place the ladybird house either close to the ground or in a raised position (some species prefer sites near the ground whilst others prefer higher up on a tree or fence), in a warm spot out of prevailing wind. Once ladybirds take up residence and overwinter they will emerge from the house in the spring when greenfly / aphids are detected.
