 Leather Jacket
Leatherjackets, are the grey-brown larvae of the Crane fly or 'Daddy Longlegs'. They grow 3 to 4 cms in length and are mainly found infesting lawns. The most common species lays eggs late summer. The Larvae overwinter and start feeding on grass in the spring.
 Chafer Grub
Chafer grubs can cause extensive damage by feeding on the roots of turf and pasture grasses. Damage can look like drought, and as the feeding continues the areas of infected turf wilt and turn brown.Damage similar to that of Leatherjacket. Animals often damage lawns looking for Chafer Grubs.
