 Vine Weevil
Vine weevil occurs both outdoors and under glass. Adults are dark in colour with pale spotting on their backs and are about 10mm in length with a distinctive pointed head.Bedding plants often look like they have collapsed or are suffering from drought when attacked by Vine weevil larvae
 Snails
In the early spring, snails emerge from their winter hibernation to find suitable places to feed and breed.Look for ragged edges or centres on leaves.
 Slugs
In the early spring, slugs emerge from winter hibernation in search of damp surroundings in which to live and breed.Check for Slug eggs and squash where seen.
 Flea & Leaf Beatles
A large number of beetle species can cause considerable damage to garden plants throughout the year.Flee Beetles now more common in the summer, hang up yellow sticky traps.
 Caterpillars
Caterpillars are the larvae of butterflies and moths, although, the larvae of some other groups of insects, such as sawfly, are often called caterpillars. More common from May onwards but can be all year round in heated areas with lights.
 Aphids Outdoor
Aphids, commonly known as greenfly and blackfly feed on plant sap by inserting their mouthparts into plant tissue. Look out for white skins on plants, often mistaken for whitefly at this stage.
