These tall lime green tubes will grow up to 1 m high and will fill up with flies and wasps over the summer.
The plant thrives in a sunny conservatory but is fully hardy so can be kept outside by a pond. The insects are attracted to nectar secreted by the plant. When feeding, the feet will get clogged and the insect loses its footing and drops down the pitfall trap. Consumes large flies and wasps.
Culitvation; Stand in 2cm of rainwater or soft water in a very sunny position in a conservatory or greenhouse or outside in full sun. It is a herbaceous plant and the traps will lie down over the winter to be replaced the following year.
