Insect eating birds are a very valuable source of natural pest control; blackbirds and thrushes search out slugs and snails to eat; blue tits eat hundreds of caterpillars and green woodpeckers will eat ants in the grass of lawns. The decline in woodland areas and older trees means there are fewer nesting sites for over 60 species of birds, which use old trees for their nests. Putting up an artificial nest box will help future generations of birds and give much pleasure derived from observing them.
Our 32mm bird box is suitable for many birds including House Sparrows, Great Tits and Nuthatch.
Constructed from solid timber sourced from renewable plantations and made in our own UK workshops. Bird box comes complete with hanger and 32mm hole. Hang nest at least 1.5 metres high up to 5.5 metres off the ground.
