Carrot Fly (Chamaepsila rosae) adults are attracted to orange coloured sticky traps covered in Oecotak adhesive. This system provides an important detection system enabling growers to judge when to treat for this damaging pest of carrot crops.
The Carrot Root Fly system contains 5 orange non-toxic sticky traps, a pole and fixing clips - everything you will need to monitor the presence of this pest for up to two years.
Application
. Place the traps at the end of carrot rows mid
April for the first generation root fly.
. You can re-locate traps in May.
. Reposition in mid-July for second generation.
. Data easily analysed - If you find more than one
Carrot Root Fly you can take secondary action
with Carrot Root Fly nematodes.
. You can remove the traps at the end of August.
. Traps can be re-used each year with new sticky
