Pears require a pollination partner. Each variety has a flowering period. A variety can be pollinated by another of the same flowering group or one to either side. All the varieties listed are from the early flowering group. 

The Buerre Hardy, dessert pear has medium to large fruits coloured russet brown with faint red. Very juicy with a good flavour. Strong grower. Succeeds in most areas.
